Kraniotis studied at the Medical School of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. He lives and works as a medical doctor (physician) Internal Medicine Specialist in Larissa , Greece. He is Doctor of Literature (Litt. D.) by the World Academy of Arts and Culture (WAAC), Academician of the Academy Tiberina of Rome, Academician of the International Academy of Micenei (Italy), elected President of 22nd World Congress of Poets (Greece 2011) by United Poets Laureate International (UPLI), President of the World Poets Society (W.P.S.), Ambassador to Greece of Poetas del Mundo (Chile), Vice-President of Larissa Union of Poets and Writers, Vice-President of the Larissa Medical Association "Hippocrates", Special Secretary of the Thessaly Association of Letters and Arts, Editorial Director of the Greek medical magazine "Hippocrates" and member of the Editorial Board of the Greek literary magazine "Graphi". He is member of several literary organizations including the National Society of Greek Literary Writers, Hellenic Literary Society, Greek PEN Centre , Hellenic Society of Writing Physicians, International Society of Greek Writers, United Poets Laureate International, International Writers Association (IWA), World Academy of Arts & Culture, World Union of Writing Physicians (UMEM), etc. He was bestowed the title and award of the "Enchanting Poet" from The Enchanting Verses journal of poetry for his contributions in poetry.
